Where Faith is Increased and Love is Released

Events That Will Take Place Before The World Tribulation

There are ten to thirteen things that are referenced in scripture that the believer of God's Word would expect to happen before the tribulation.  The rapture, (or  a pre-tribulation rapture - as I suspect) is not accepted by some as one of the events.  But most believers do expect a rapture to happen sometime - either pre; mid or post tribulation.  (I believe there is doctrinal grounds to support one at all three times).

Three Events are already being Fulfilled

    1. Wars and rumors of Wars (WW1 & WW2 were just the start of many of significence).

    2. The Reestablishment of Israel.

    3. Jerusalem under Jewish Control (1967, Six Day War).

Other Events the Bible foretells and the World should expect are these events, not necessarily on order:

    1. A Northern Alliance & Invasion against Israel (Eze 38-39) Led most likely by Russia & includes hostle Iran & other nations. This invasion will be stopped and defeated on the mountains of Israel.

    2. A One World Economy developing followed by a governing body.

    3. A delegation of 10 Kingdoms (or Kings) establishing a rule for World Order and a phony Peace.

    4. The Rise of the Antichrist as a great but deceptive world leader who will usurp three of those (Kings) Kingdoms and receive unilateral authority from the remaining seven National leaders.

    5. A brief period of external peace, safety and as Israel falls into a false sense of security under the deceptive reign of the coming Antichrist.

    6. An agreement made with Israel by whom they will think is their national messiah but will in fact be revealed as the Antichrist.

    7. Blackouts (day time turning into darkness "the sun shall be turned into darkness" (as at the time of Jesus’ death on the cross) and the moon turned into blood before the "Great and Terrible day of the Lord".

    8. The Return of Elijah the prophet to Restore all things.

    9. Rebuilding of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem

A Sense (Not a Prophecy - but a personal sense from studies)

Last night I was in the middle of a study when suddenly the power went out. With no light I could not read further, and also my excited anticipation to later watch the baseball playoff game was stripped from me. Then the lights came back on and all was fine.

However, I woke up early this morning with this sense; God is going to do something before our rapture and His return in an effort to redirect the church’s affections. It will be painful to us but in the mind of God necessary. God would certainly plan to cleanse us from anything that might leave us unprepared so we as His bride are ready for His return; our lamps filled with oil, trimmed and lit. (Mat 25:1-13)

Regarding addictions which we often see as blessings, (and are blessings in many ways) let me explain by first listing some of those things. Television, the internet, sports, news, entertainment, successful business, etc... Each of these and so much more things like these are often so addicting to us that they distract quality time from God. They take up so much of our time and imagination that we fail to make time to pray and seek intimacy with God.

God will not leave us to this state. Suddenly these things will be taken away and we will be left in a sense, in the dark. As in the days of America’s Great Depression, some will lose hope and commit suicide. Others like the innocent and naive in Europe during World War Two will suffer great lose. But those who know their God will function and do exploits because their attention and affection will return to the Lord.

The Next Wave

Throughout Church history God has moved by His Spirit in acts of divine providence to enlighten His children to His ways and will.  We often call this "Waves of the Spirit".

Usually the illumination was spearheaded by individuals who went on to give revelation and inspiration to the church in general.  For instance, consider Martin Luther’s Reformation message that “the Just shall live by faith”.  Or the early leaders of the Pentecostal Movement at the turn of the 20th Century; or the Healing Revivalist; or the Charismatic Renewal; and even the more recent Faith Movement of the late 1900's that focused on teaching Christians to believe what God said in the scriptures.

I believe the next wave of the Spirit will include acts of divine judgment on a scale we have not seen since the inception of the early church.  Acts like of Ananias and Sapphira who fell dead in the church for lying to the Holy Ghost. (Acts 5)  Acts like the Apostle's Paul's first recorded miracle; blinding the eyes of one opposing the gospel.  (Acts 13:8-11)  Evil world leaders will die suddenly as in the case of King Herod. (Acts 12:20-23)

God will judge His people (Heb 10:30) because "... the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1Pe 4:17)

Thus, God send a wave of the Spirit which will give His people a greater sense of righteous judgment.  Jesus exhorted;  "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."  I sense the illumination of righteous judgments will instill in believers a bolder faith and clear understanding of love, that will cause them to be strong and do exploits in these last days. (Dan 11:32)
